Oh, two months since last journal entry!! I got lazy in October and had just returned home from a trip and didn't think I had much to say or show, so I decided to just skip a month. Potentially I will keep it bi-monthly just due to the fact I been working on things slowly and one at a time lately. But anyway!
I been doing a lot of traditional art lately, mostly painting with acrylics but I have been enjoying playing around with making papier maché ''sculptures'', but nothing complete to upload here yet ... It's been a lot of fun to branch out and take risks, work with larger canvases and mix in other mediums to work around my limitations. It feels like it's paying off though, I been better at sketching confidently and staring new projects with materials I'm not used to.
On the more personal side of my journaling, I been getting big into comic books, and I really do think reading comics has helped me a lot with anatomy and being more adventurous with the poses and scenes I draw! I also been trying to buy comics based on writing over artstyle, and it has introduced me to a lot of cool styles and techniques.
